A beautiful, even spray tan starts before you arrive at the studio. Here's how to get your skin ready:
Exfoliate 24 to 48 hours before. Use a gentle exfoliating mitt or washcloth, paying extra attention to dry areas like your elbows, knees, and ankles.
Shave or wax ahead of time. Shave at least 24 hours before your appointment and schedule waxing at least 48 hours beforehand.
Moisturize in the days leading up to your tan. Hydrated skin helps your color develop and fade more evenly.
Arrive with clean, dry skin. Skip lotions, oils, deodorant, and perfume on the day of your appointment.
Wear loose, dark clothing. Avoid tight waistbands, leggings, and anything that might rub against your developing tan.
