I went in for the Cream of the Crop facial yesterday and my skin is still glowing and my double chin is non-existent! This truly is the ultimate facial - cleansing, exfoliation, massage (and lots of it!!), LED lights, etc. I haven’t been that relaxed in far too long. I will definitely be coming back, Georgia knows what she is doing!

Preparation

  • Please read through this list of possible contraindications. Always consult with a physician prior to LED Red Light Therapy.

    • Pregnancy: Red light therapy may not be recommended due to the lack of extensive safety research during pregnancy.

    • Photosensitivity Disorders: Conditions like lupus, porphyria, or any disorder that increases sensitivity to light could worsen with red light exposure.

    • Active Cancer: Red light therapy should be avoided in areas where cancer is present or suspected due to concerns about stimulating cell growth.

    • Recent Skin Treatments or Procedures: People who’ve recently had chemical peels, laser treatments, or other skin procedures may need to avoid red light therapy to prevent irritation or adverse effects.

    • Eye Conditions: Red light therapy can be harmful to the eyes, so people with eye conditions like retinal diseases should avoid direct exposure to the eyes.

    • Use of Photosensitizing Medications: Medications like certain antibiotics, anti-fungal treatments, or other photosensitizing drugs can increase sensitivity to light, making red light therapy unsafe.

    • Epilepsy or Seizure Disorders: People with epilepsy should be cautious about flashing lights or prolonged light exposure as it can trigger seizures.

    • History of Skin Cancer: Those with a history of skin cancer should cover areas that have been affected, as it could potentially stimulate abnormal cell growth.

    • Chronic Conditions: Individuals with certain chronic health conditions (e.g., heart disease, diabetes) may need to consult a doctor before using red light therapy.

    • Deep Vein Thrombosis:

  • Red light is best able to penetrate clean skin so please come with no makeup/SPF or you can request a towel to remove when you arrive.

  • Please stop all active ingredients at least 3 days prior to your appointment - cover any areas during session if you forgetI This includes any retinol/Retin-A based products, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (glycolic, mandelic, lactic etc.) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (salicylic Acid or Willow Bark) as they can cause increased skin sensitivity to light. Discontinue use for at least 3 days after.

Aftercare

  • Focus on gentle cleansing, intense hydration (aloe, hyaluronic acid), and sun protection (SPF 30+) to soothe skin, promote healing, and enhance results, while avoiding irritants like retinoids, acids, and harsh scrubs for several days to a week post-treatment to prevent irritation and maximize benefits.

Drink plenty of water and use calming moisturizers after your session to support the skin's recovery process and reduce redness or warmth.

    • Hydrate & Soothe: Apply a good moisturizer or serum with ingredients like aloe vera or hyaluronic acid to your face and entire body.

    • Sun Protection: Use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen if in the sun.

    • Avoid Heat & Irritants: Skip hot showers, harsh scrubs, retinoids, and strong acids.

    • Stay Hydrated: Drink lots of water.

    • LED therapy can be extremely relaxing while also stimulating your skin so focus on calming activities, hydration and taking it easy for best results.
